Designed by Michele de Lucchi , Pulcina contains a small but substantial design innovation that stops the flow of the drink at the right time, before the coffee acquires a bitter aftertaste. This allows the full-bodied and rounded aroma of this drink to be enhanced. The spout, which resembles the beak of a chick (hence the name of the coffee maker) allows the drop to be perfectly cut.
