Description

Ippocampo Edizioni presents a collection of books on the most important international fashion houses. Design books and books to collect capable of furnishing any room in your home with style.

When Karl Lagerfeld was appointed to lead the Maison in 1983, he set out to radically reawaken its image - not only through bold collections but also, from 1987 onwards, choosing to personally create the house's photographic campaigns, an unprecedented move for a designer. Conceived in collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel, this publication opens with an essay by Patrick Mauriès before exploring the campaigns themselves, arranged chronologically. A selection of 600 photographs, all taken by the designer, show spectacular gowns worn by the most charismatic models of all time, from Ines de la Fressange, Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, to Kirsten Stewart and Lily Rose Depp, captured on location glamour, from Coco Chanel's apartment in Paris to the French Riviera and Los Angeles.
