Born in Milan in 1913 as a leather goods company, in 1979 the maison took a new path as soon as Miuccia Prada took over the leadership. In 1988, after focusing exclusively on accessories, the designer presented her first collection prêt-à-porter , transforming the brand into one of the most innovative luxury brands of its time in just a few years, thanks to a personal, sophisticated and subtly subversive approach.
